My introduction biography:
Isabella Mwebaza Alice, professionally known as Bella Art UG, is a visionary Ugandan painter and art entrepreneur. Her artistic journey began with body painting during her university days in Nairobi, Kenya, and has since evolved into a multifaceted creative practice.
A graduate with a First-Class degree in Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting Major, Isabella’s passion for art and business has been a driving force throughout her life. As the founder and head instructor of Paint and Sip Uganda, a beginner-friendly art studio in Kampala, Uganda, she has been able to merge her love for art, teaching, and community-building.
“Art is my ministry,” the mantra of Bella Art Uganda, expresses the belief that creativity is not just talent or career but a sacred calling to serve humanity and God. In Uganda’s context, where art preserves rich culture, heals communities, and empowers youth, this perspective elevates artistic work as both spiritual and socially transformative. By framing art as ministry, Bella Art Uganda highlights its role in addressing wounds of conflict, giving voice to the marginalized, and dignifying creative expression as service. Globally, it redefines ministry beyond preaching, showing that art can communicate peace, love, and resilience across cultures—shifting creativity from self-promotion to impact, and from individual expression to communal healing and empowerment.
With her unique blend of artistic talent, business acumen, and passion for teaching, Isabella Mwebaza Alice is a rising star in the Ugandan art scene.
